MY NEW CHILDREN’S BOOK SERIES!

Puggleton Park & Puggleton Park: the Curse of the Canis Diamond

Written by Deanna Kizis, Illustrated by Hannah Peck

“Whimsical descriptions of animal adventures by Kizis (Please Don’t Read This Book!) in this sweet story about friendship and finding one’s forever home.” - Publisher’s Weekly

BOOK ONE: Penelope is a resourceful little pug in quite the quandary: All she can remember is that she lost her Lady in the park while chasing a most dreadful squirrel. Now she dreams of finding a new Lady and a forever home, so when she finds herself taken in by the kind Lady Diggleton, she can’t believe her luck!

But Penelope soon discovers that Lady Diggleton is searching for her previous owner and worries she will have to leave the Lady she’s come to love. To make matters worse, that dreadful squirrel turns out to be a nemesis for the ages. However shall she keep herself from chasing him and ruining all hopes of tea parties, elegant balls, and a forever home?

BOOK TWO: Penelope’s adventures continue when she and Lady Diggleton are invited to meet the Queen at Windsor Castle! Unfortunately, Duchess, the Queen’s snooty dog, is one of the rudest canines Penelope has ever had the chance to meet. She decides to avoid the royal dog at all costs, but when the Queen's prized diamond ring goes missing and Duchess stands accused, Penelpe realizes that Duchess didn’t do it. Now she has to race against time to figure out stole the ring before Duchess is sent away to the Wayward Home for Lost Dogs forever!

“A surprising layer of emotional nuance. Penelope, wide-eyed, pudgy, and eminently huggable, will win even a cat (or worse, a squirrel) lover over. - Bulletin for the Center of Children’s Books

Praise for How to Meet Cute Boys

A fun, fab debut novel by "someone who knows" (Kizis is, after all, Elle's West Coast editor) … a must-have for fans of "Girlie Porn" (fashion mags) and "Girlie Crack" (shopping for clothes that cost more than what you make in a month). - Publishers Weekly, Starred Review

Kizis shines in this debut novel that details the emotional turmoil of unrequited love. More Nick Hornby than Bridget Jones. Libraries should be sure to pick up a copy or two. - Booklist
